Overview:

System Manager is an user friendly Windows 95 utility that provides
user a quick overview of system component information. Together with all the
required hardware components, it is capable of monitoring and alerting user
when abnormal temperature, voltage and fan conditions occur.

This utility is recommended for systems based on Shuttle's latest
motherboards. If your system is based on motherboard from other
manufacturer, this utility may or may not operate properly.

Please use it with your own discretion.

BIOS Requirement
This utility requires system BIOS with DMI support (in order to show system
component information correctly). DMI version 2.0 or above is required.

Release Note:

    1. Monitoring/Alerting Functions of Temperature, Voltage and Fan
The temperature, voltage and fan monitoring/alerting functions are
available only for motherboards that has built-in LM75/78 hardware.

    2. Note on Fan Configuration
It is required that the type of fan used must have the RPM output
function so that the fan speed information is available to System
Manager for monitoring. (These fans are usually 3-wire type)

On Shuttle's motherboards, there are usually 2 (three-pin) Headers
available for connection to Fans. We recommend that CPU cooling
fan and System/Chassis cooling fan to be used. In System Manager,
Fan#1 and Fan#2 are provided for monitoring fans.

    3. Conflict with Intel LDCM (LANDesk Client Manager)
System Manager is not designed to coexist with Intel's LDCM
software (it is not required due to the fact that System Manager is very
similar to LDCM only without the LAN environment support).
Please uninstall System Manager first if you want to install LDCM.

    4. Detection error on Network Drive with FAT32 partition
Any Network drives over 2GB capacity with FAT32 partition,
when mapped as local drive, will shown up as 2 GB only in System
            Manager (10/09)

   5. Revision History

        10/13/1997 Version 1.0 Initial Release
