Use local WWW-Browser

General

If you want to manage your bookmarks with NextRecall you'll need a gateway to a browser on your local system. Unfortunately, Java could not recognize the Commandline-Conventions of your operating system. It calls the given String without testing its correctness.

In the next paragraphs you will learn how to use it. Program output will be formatted as italic.

Configure Web-Browser

You'll need to tell NextRecall where your Web-Browser is located.

  1. Open "File" menu in the menu bar.
    The menu opens
  2. Choose "Preferences..." from the list.
    A dialog opens.
  3. Enter in the textfield named "Webbrowser" the complete path of your Browser including eventual parameters. Or try the button "Find...&quit; to locate the executable file.
  4. Press "OK".
    The Dialog closes.

Running Web-Browser

Any key with an URL as Value could be use to invoke the Browser.

  1. Mark the key with the URL.
The URL will be shown in the textfield.
  2. Press "WWW" in the toolbar.
The Browser starts up and displays the site.

Go on with the Forms section.
