Once you click on the Connect button, JFTP connects to the FTP
site and negotiates for an SSL connection. If the server supports SSL, the server
sends a digital certificate to JFTP. The digital certificate contains the identity
of the server. If the certificate exists in your list of trusted certificates,
JFTP accepts the connection and all data transmitted after this point will be
encrypted. If the digital certificate does not exist in your list of trusted
certificates, a Security Warning dialog will be displayed. The
Security Warning Dialog allows you to choose whether or not you
want to work with the FTP site. You may optionally install the certificate in
to your list of trusted certificates. For more information on this, please read
the topic Installing a Certificate.
