What is DownloadMaster?

DownloadMaster is a client-server program for painless downloading from Internet. All you need is URL of the needed file. DownloadMaster will do whatever it can to download that file for you to your local server. Once it's on the local server you'll get it with full speed of your local network or modem.

Features:

If error happens during the download it will be restarted, and if it's supported by remote server, resumed where it was broken.

HTTP and FTP protocol are supported, both with resume features.

Download can be scheduled for night or any other period when traffic is lower.

All settings for proxies, retries, schedules, etc. are adjusted by administrator.

You don't have to install anything. You can use DownloadMaster from any Java-enabled browser.

 

If you want to become a user of DownloadMaster you should do the following:

1. Ask your administrator to create a new user with your username and password, or

2. Press 'Add new user' on login screen and create a new user yourself. However, administrator can disable this feature.

Another problem occurs when there are already as many users created as program is licensed for. In that case, you should ask your administrator to upgrade DownloadMaster for more users.
