Running DownloadMaster

DM Server

If you're using JRE:

You can use the appropriate batch file - run.bat for Windows or run.sh for Unix.
These files just execute the following line:

jre -cp server.jar DownloadMaster

If you're using JDK:

For Windows you should modify run.bat to be:

java -classpath %classpath%;server.jar DownloadMaster

On Unix systems you should modify run.sh to be:

java -classpath $classpath:server.jar DownloadMaster

If system property classpath isn't defined you should change $classpath or %classpath% with path to classes.zip distributed with your JVM. It's usually JDK_path/lib/classes.zip

You should also change refresh.bat or refresh.sh in install_path/dm-cgi directory to match your JVM.

NOTE for Windows users only:
There's usually 'w' version of JVM, e.g. jrew, or javaw which closes the command window. You can use it, errors and messages are logged anyway. However, don't use it for CGI - it's based on standard output!

DM Client

For starting DM Client default URL is:
http://host_name/DownloadMaster/client/

DM Admin

For starting DM Administration default URL is:
http://host_name/DownloadMaster/admin/

Both URLs depend on how you set aliases with your Web server.
host_name is name of the computer where DM Server is running.
