Configuring DownloadMaster Server

There are several parameters for DownloadMaster that can't be adjusted with DM Admin. If you really have to change default values you'll have to edit file server.ini. If you can't find server.ini, it's because all .ini files are made when server is started for the first time. Run DM Server and when it prints 'Server started!' terminate it - all .ini files will be there.

Parameters in server.ini:

Port

Port where server listens. Default port is 4567.
CAUTION! If you change this value here you also have to modify index.html in both client and admin directories. Parameter port in these files must match this value here.

DownloadDirectory

Directory where downloaded files will be saved. It can be relative to install_path, or absolute. Subdirectory will be created for every user.
Default value is web/download

DownloadURL

URL of directory where downloaded files will be saved. Don't forget to put slash '/' at the end - it's URL for directory, not for file!
Default value is http://host_name/DownloadMaster/download/

CgiURL

URL for cgi script that lists downloaded files.
Default value is
    http://host_name/dm-cgi/refresh.bat if DM thinks it runs on Windows or
    http://host_name/dm-cgi/refresh.sh if DM thinks it runs on Unix
If you're using JDK or some other JVM you should change refresh.bat or refresh.sh the way it's described in Running DM.

If your server has more than one network cards you can use additional parameter HostIP=aa.bb.cc.dd to specify IP address of network card that is connected to Internet. This way you'll avoid additional routing.

All other settings can be adjusted by Administrator applet as described in DM Admin Help.
