Client-server architecture

Clients just order needed URLs and then log off. DM Server retrieves those URLs when convenient. Clients connect later to check whether their files have arrived. If they're downloaded, clients can take them using the full speed of a local connection (modem or LAN) from your local server.

 

Automatic Retry & Resume

In cases when, for any reason, download breaks, it will be retried after some time (adjustable). If remote server supports resume feature, download will continue where it has stopped!

HTTP & FTP protocols are supported, both with resume features.

Scheduling

Move downloads for night and you'll have more bandwidth during day!
Even more, you don't have to disable downloads during the day - you can fine tune the scheduling to adjust traffic to match your needs. You can choose different settings for every hour during a day.

No installation for end-users required

Clients use DownloadMaster with any Java-enabled browser. They don't need to adjust any parameter for proxies, schedule, etc.- all that is done by the administrator. All you need is to put a link to DownloadMaster on your home page and your users are ready to go!

 

Easy administration

Administration is also with any Java-enabled browser. Most settings can be changed in real-time, without restarting DM Server.

 

Flexibility

DownloadMaster Server is Java application and you can run it on any Java 1.1 enabled server. That includes Unix, Windows, OS/2, etc. Check links to find out which platforms are supported.
Clients can use almost any browser because only Java 1.0 is required.
